FAQ: Can I skip the gDNA removal column step of the Monarch® Total RNA Miniprep Kit protocol?
We do not recommend skipping the gDNA Removal Column step. In conjunction with DNase I treatment, the gDNA Removal Column ensures efficient removal of genomic DNA. Please note that the gDNA Removal Column step is not carried out when working with whole blood samples.
