FAQ: How can I remove Cold-Active TEV Protease (NEB #P8118) from my reaction?

Cold-Active TEV Protease carries a 7x-His tag and can be easily removed from a reaction through immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) using NEBExpress® Ni-NTA Magnetic Beads (NEB #S1423), NEBExpress® Ni Spin Columns (NEB #S1427) or NEBExpress® Ni Resin (NEB #S1428). The Cold-Active TEV Protease reaction can be loaded directly on the resin, column or beads. The reaction can also be diluted, prior to loading, in a buffer such as 50 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.5, 300 mM NaCl or 20 mM Sodium phosphate pH 7.4, 300 mM NaCl, if necessary. Please refer to the buffer and reagents compatibility table in the Notes section for more details.
