Narrator: New England Biolabs has been a provider of high-quality molecular biology reagents to the life science industry for nearly 45 years.
Sal Russello: At NEB, everything starts with science and the OEM team has the opportunity of helping deploy a lot of those resources around a defined customer need.
Narrator: When you collaborate with NEB's OEM and customized solutions team, you're getting more than just high quality custom products. You're leveraging a dedicated team of experts ready to provide support at every step of your product's life cycle.
Sal Russello: There are multiple considerations when selecting reagent partner for your needs. Technical expertise, scalability, turnaround time, quality and logistics support are all critical to meeting your goals and if you're working in a regulated environment, that list of concerns and hurdles increases considerably. At NEB, we've taken these factors into consideration and can provide you with a unique solution that allows you to access novel products, meet quality specifications, speed time to market, and ultimately streamline your supply chain.
Narrator: We work collaboratively with you at each stage of your product's life cycle, providing access to a deep knowledge base of the enzymes and other products we discover, develop, produce and commercialize. Once your technology is ready, we can engage with your manufacturing and operations teams to help you build a robust supply chain of our materials and when needed, third-party materials as well as. As business scales and you need to consider manufacturing at multiple sites around the world, we have the ability to reach manufacturing operations through a dedicated network of global subsidiaries.
Narrator: Lastly, we can accommodate your growth by providing access to a number of value added services including, vendor managed inventory where we provide visibility into our supply chain to facilitate your production planning activities.
John Pezza: The best part of the job is working one on one with the customer to see their ideas turn into product deliverables. It's my goal not only to meet their requirements, but exceed their expectations. We have a team of project managers and support staff to help you move from product ideas and concepts to deliverables. Some of the options we provide customers include user defined concentrations and formulations without components like BSA or glycerol. We also have the ability to custom package in a variety of vials and bottles and where required microtiter plates to make your products more amenable to automation. Many of these formats can be customized with your logo and any other information you need to help launch your product.
Eileen Dimalant: We work in a lot of the same fields as our customers, which allows us to easily collaborate with them to find solutions that meet their needs. In fact, our deep scientific experience in the manufacturing and developing of enzymes gives us a unique vantage point to help us find solutions for our customers. The types of applications that are OEM and customized solutions department routinely supports include: library preparation for next gen sequencing, reagents for qPCR and PCR based assays for molecular diagnostics, as well as in vitro transcription reagents.
Denisa Gilai: After meeting with the customer and discussing their specific needs, we work with our development, production and quality teams to deliver a product that meets their requirements. Robust manufacturing practices, a global supply chain, and the ability to scale quickly all ensure that our product will perform to your expectations every time now and as your business grows.
Lance Goodreau: In 2018, we opened a new manufacturing facility focused on the manufacturer of GMP-grade* products. Any of these ISO certifications are something that we're very proud of. Our ISO 1345 certification has enabled us to align our quality management system with the same principles, practices and philosophies of our customers who are manufacturing licensed in vitro diagnostics and medical device products, and we're one of only a few companies who are actually capable of offering a very specialized GMP-grade reagent to this new marketplace. We host many customer audits per year and we're very happy to do so. It offers us the unique opportunity to benchmark our quality systems with those of our customers who happen to be the top pharmaceutical in vitro diagnostic and medical device manufacturers in the world. There's really no better way that we can actually directly receive feedback from them and continuously drive improvement with our quality systems at NEB.
Sal Russello: We realize one size doesn't fit all, so we take a consultive approach. We work hard to understand a customer need, and then we can deploy resources, whether they're big companies interested in supply chain expertise or smaller companies that actually really require some application development support, the ability to then grow with them as they scale and the like. We love what we do. We've been doing it for over 40 years and we look forward to meeting your needs.
"GMP-grade" is a branding term NEB uses to describe reagents manufactured at NEB’s Rowley facility. The Rowley facility was designed to manufacture reagents under more rigorous infrastructure and process controls to achieve more stringent product specifications and customer requirements. Reagents manufactured at NEB’s Rowley facility are manufactured in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management system standards. However, at this time, NEB does not manufacture or sell products known as Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), nor does NEB manufacture its products in compliance with all of the Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.
