NEBeta™ Tools
NEB scientists are often involved in the development of online tools that will aid in their research. We are now making these tools, and, in some circumstances, the source code, available for you to evaluate. These tools are not yet optimized for design and usability, so we are looking for your feedback on their functionality and utility to help us improve them for future use.
NEB Ligase Fidelity Tools have moved here.
Restriction enzyme tools
- REBSITES
Virtually digest a DNA sequence with each of the known Type II restriction enzymes - Genomes and Restriction Enzyme Frequencies
A resource detailing restriction enzyme frequencies (number of cuts) in various genomes
Glycobiology tools
- Glycan Analyzer Code
Glycan Analyzer automates the structural annotation of UPLC-FLR-MS N-glycan profiles obtained following digestion with one or more exoglycosidases. We are making the code behind the tool available to allow its utility to be further developed by the glycobiology research community.
Primer Design
- Primer Monitor
Evaluate the potential impact of different SARS-CoV-2 variants on commonly-used and user-defined primer sets. - Tm API
A public Tm API allowing programmatic access to the NEB Tm calculator for incorporation in automated high throughput primer design workflows.
NGS Sample Prep & Target Enrichment
- NEBNext Index Oligo Selector
This tool assists users in selecting barcode combinations when pooling NEBNext® Multiplex Oligos for Illumina®.
Please share your thoughts on how these tools and/or their code are working for you. Additionally, if you have any suggestions for new online tools that would help your research, please let us know. View NEB’s full list of online tools and mobile apps.
