Nurturing Habitats: NEB's Nesting Program

New England Biolab's nesting program, launched in 2024, supports the conservation of bluebirds, wood ducks, and tree swallows through monitored nesting boxes.

NEB’s nesting program was established in 2024, and provides habitat for bluebirds, wood ducks, and tree swallows. A volunteer team installed the boxes, which are monitored during nesting season, and we record our observations in Cornell Lab of Ornithology's Nestwatch database. This program fits well with NEB’s sustainability goals, and reminds us that simple practices can help nurture, maintain and restore delicate ecosystems locally.
