FAQ: Why does my RCA reaction appear viscous when performing the EnClose™ Cell-free dbDNA™ Synthesis protocol?
A viscous RCA product is expected and indicates that the reaction was successful. During RCA, large amounts of amplified DNA are generated, which naturally increases the solution’s viscosity. When handling the product, take care during pipetting and quantification. Using wide-bore pipette tips can make the viscous material easier and more comfortable to manipulate.
