Join the NEB Vanpool: Commute Green!

The NEB Vanpool program, initiated in 2007, allows employees to commute together from Boston to the Ipswich campus.

The concept of the NEB vanpool began in 2007 with a small number of NEB employees that commuted together from Boston to the Ipswich campus. The concept is simple - NEB leases the van, and employees coordinate the rest. Anyone can join - it is first come first serve, and employees can use the service for whatever days they need. It is a group effort, and participants all try to be flexible and accommodate everyone’s schedule. That said, there is WiFi on board for employees to work during commuting time. 
We all believe this is an important program, as it helps to lower emissions and the number of cars on the streets. The small sacrifice in our schedules makes a big difference in both miles saved and carbon emitted, as we are commuting approximately 60 miles each day!
