FAQ: How does TnX® Transposase (Unloaded) (NEB #M2623) differ from other Tn5 transposases?
TnX Transposase (Unloaded) is a protein-engineered alternative to conventional Tn5 transposases that provides improved activity, robustness, and insertion bias characteristics. Importantly, TnX retains compatibility with the same mosaic-end (ME) sequences used by Tn5, enabling straightforward adoption in existing tagmentation workflows without redesigning adaptors or assay formats. In addition, TnX Transposase (Unloaded) (with stability of 24 months at -20°C) is substantially more stable than reported stability of Tn5 Transposase.
