The categories of Personal Information we collect from you include your contact information (such as name, company name, address, telephone number, email address, username and password, purchase history), and where relevant to fulfill a transaction or request, additional information such as billing or payment information, shipping addresses, end-user information, and credit card information. Payments made through our Sites are processed by a third party. Additionally, in order to tailor our communications to you, we may ask you to voluntarily provide us with information regarding your scientific areas of interest, experience with our products, contact preferences, and other information relating to your interactions with us or our products and services.

We also contract with third party advertising networks that collect IP addresses and other information from pixel tags or web beacons on our Sites, in our emails, and on third party websites. These networks use cookies and other device and usage data in order to recognize individuals who have previously visited a particular website. This information is used to measure advertising effectiveness and provide advertisements about our products or services tailored to your interests.

When you attend a conference, trade show, or event (either sponsored by us or one where we are a participating vendor) and register or have your badge scanned, your Personal Information will be shared with us, as well as with any partner or third party participating in that event. If you do not want your Personal Information shared with us, any partner or third party in this manner, do not have your badge scanned. If your badge is scanned by a partner or third party at an event your information will be governed by that party’s privacy policy.

Any Personal Information you provide to us, and that we share with affiliates, agents, vendors and service providers, may be stored and processed, transferred between and accessed from Korea, the United States and other countries. However, we will handle Personal Information collected through a Site in accordance with the Site’s linked privacy policy, and in compliance with applicable law. Where Personal Information is collected on the Sites and a link to our affiliate entity’s privacy policy is provided at the point at which the Personal Information is collected, the relevant affiliate entity’s collection, use and storage of that Personal Information will be subject to the terms of that linked privacy policy.

The legal basis for international data transfers is that the storage of personal information outside Korea for processing or the transfer of personal information to a third party processor is necessary to take measures at the request of a data subject in the course of performing a contract executed with the data subject or in executing a contract with the data subject.

• Records on contracts and withdrawal of subscriptions, records on payments and supply of goods : 5 years (as required under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce Transactions)
• Records on consumer complaints and processing of disputes: 3 years (as required under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce Transactions)
• Record of logins: 3 months (as required under the Protection of Communications Secrets Act)

Measures Regarding the Data Subject’s Request for Inspection of CCTV Visual Information. You may request inspection or confirmation of existence (hereinafter, “Inspection”) of your CCTV Visual Information filmed by our CCTVs, and may also request Inspection through a representative; provided that, the request for the Inspection of your own CCTV Visual Information should be submitted in writing to NEB Korea (see “Contact Information” below to submit a request to NEB Korea). After confirming that the CCTV Visual Information of the person to whom the request for Inspection relates (the “data subject”) has been stored within the applicable retention period, we will implement measures so that such Information can be inspected, subject to the terms below. 

정보주체의 CCTV 영상정보 열람 요청 관련 조치. 귀하는 당사 CCTV에 의해 촬영된 귀하의 CCTV 영상정보에 관하여 열람 또는 존재 확인(이하 “열람”)을 요청할 수 있으며, 대리인을 통해서 열람을 요청할 수도 있습니다. 단, 귀하의 CCTV 영상정보에 대한 열람 요청은 NEB 코리아에 서면으로 제출하여야 합니다(아래 “연락처”를 참조하여 NEB 코리아에 요청서를 제출할 것). 당사는 열람 요청과 관련된 자(“정보주체”)의 CCTV 영상정보가 해당 보유기간 내에 저장되어 있음을 확인한 후, 아래의 조건을 전제로 하여, 해당 정보를 열람할 수 있도록 조치를 취합니다.

The Inspection of the CCTV Visual Information of a third party is permitted only when it is explicitly necessary for the data subject’s imminent interest in life, body or property. If person(s) other than the data subject to whom the request for Inspection relates can explicitly be identified in the course of the Inspection or if the privacy of person(s) other than the data subject may be infringed by the Inspection, appropriate measures, such as masking, can be implemented to prevent such potential infringement. 

제3자의 CCTV 영상정보 열람은 정보주체의 급박한 생명, 신체, 재산상 이익을 위해 명백히 필요한 경우에만 허용됩니다. 열람 요청과 관련된 정보주체 이외의 자를 열람 과정에서 명백하게 식별할 수 있거나 열람으로 인해 정보주체 이외의 자의 프라이버시가 침해될 수 있는 경우, 그러한 침해 가능성을 방지하기 위해 마스킹과 같은 적절한 조치를 취할 수 있습니다. 

Even when permitting the Inspection of CCTV Visual Information, we will implement necessary measures to prevent the CCTV Visual Information of other person(s) from being unreasonably provided. If (a) the CCTV Visual Information has been destroyed due to the expiration of the duration for storing such information; or (b) restriction of Inspection is necessary for protecting the CCTV Visual Information of other person(s), we may refuse the Inspection. In such case, we will notify the requesting person(s) of the reason for such refusal within ten days from the receipt of request in writing or otherwise.  

당사는 CCTV 영상정보 열람을 허용하는 경우에도 타인의 CCTV 영상정보가 불합리하게 제공되는 것을 방지하기 위해 필요한 조치를 시행합니다. (a) CCTV 영상정보가 해당 정보의 저장기간 만료로 인해 파기된 경우 또는 (b) 타인의 CCTV 영상정보를 보호하기 위하여 열람의 제한이 필요할 경우, 당사는 열람을 거부할 수 있습니다. 이 경우, 당사는 열람 요청을 받은 후 10일 내에 그 거부 사유를 서면 등의 방법으로 요청한 자에게 통지합니다.

Due to its technical nature, a request for correction of CCTV Visual Information will not be accepted. A request for deletion of CCTV Visual Information may be accepted only when there is no difficulty in accomplishing the original purposes of collecting CCTV Visual Information, even if we do delete such CCTV Visual Information. In the event that we have deleted CCTV Visual Information pursuant to the request of the data subject, we will record and manage the contents of the deleted information. 

기술적 특성으로 인해, CCTV 영상정보의 수정 요청은 수락되지 않습니다. CCTV 영상정보의 삭제 요청은 해당 CCTV 영상정보를 삭제하더라도 CCTV 영상정보의 기존 수집 목적을 달성하는 데 지장이 없는 경우에 한하여 수락될 수 있습니다. 당사는 정보주체의 요청에 따라 CCTV 영상정보를 삭제한 경우, 삭제된 정보의 내용을 기록 및 관리합니다.

Other Matters Necessary for Installation, Operation and Management of CCTVs.  We do not operate CCTVs in public places for purposes not permitted by law. Furthermore, we do not install or operate CCTVs within places that may significantly infringe upon an individual’s privacy, such as bathrooms or restrooms.
