Yes. Cypridina and Gaussia are both secreted luciferases that produce high intensity bioluminescent signals. They oxidize different substrates that do not cross-react with each other. Therefore, Cypridina and Gaussia are an ideal pair for co-transfecting mammalian cells (2,3).
