Although we recommend the use of NEB 10-beta/Stable Outgrowth Medium for the dilution of outgrowth prior to plating when working with NEB 10-beta and NEB Stable Competent E.coli, this is not an absolute requirement. LB can also be used to dilute the outgrowth prior to plating.
