FAQ: Will a Rapid PNGase F reaction preserve the integrity of glycosylamines?
No. Although N-glycans are released as glycosylamines by Rapid PNGase F, the amino group is unstable and it is rapidly converted. The deglycosylation reaction results in N-glycans with a free reducing end.
