FAQ: When my Gibson Assembly Cloning Kit arrived, it was stored at -80°C. Will this harm the Gibson Assembly Master Mix?
NEB recommends storing the Gibson Assembly Master Mix at -20°C upon arrival, however the Master Mix is stable at -80°C. When you use the Master Mix for the first time, please transfer it to -20°C for future storage. The competent cells included with the Cloning Kit must be stored at -80°C. Do not store the competent cells at -20°C.
