FAQ: What linker type and length would you recommend?
In general, we recommend keeping the linker as short as possible to minimize chances for non-specific protease cleavage of overly long, unstructured peptides. A linker of approximately 10 amino acids or less is sufficient for SNAP-tag, preferably not much longer. It should also be possible to have no amino acids between the SNAP-tag and its fusion partner.
