FAQ: How does the level of star activity of SphI-HF compare to SphI?
The Fidelity Index which measures the minimum units to produce star activity was determined using the following conditions; 1X NEBuffer, 5% glycerol, lambda DNA (1µg/50 µl), incubated for 1 hour at 37˚C . The minimum number of units of SphI-HF required to produce star activity in the recommended rCutSmart Buffer™ is (≥2,000 units). The minimum number of units of SphI required to produce star activity in the recommended NEBuffer r2.1 is (32 units). The minimum number of units of SphI required to produce star activity in rCutSmart Buffer is (16 units).
