Summer Internship Program

NEB has always placed the advancement of science as one of our highest priorities. We recognize the importance of sharing scientific knowledge and feel that we have a shared responsibility to help train the next generation of scientists. One of the ways that we do this is through our Summer Internship Program.

About our summer internship program

Our program runs May through August, and positions are available in a wide range of departments within the company. Students can gain laboratory experience by working with our Research, Applications & Product Development, or Production groups. There are also non-laboratory opportunities with our Marketing, EH&S, Shipping, Customer Service, Technical Support, or IT teams.

Student interns are paired with NEB mentors, whose goal it is to provide a meaningful working experience, which culminates in a presentation at one of our poster sessions or one of our seminars. We feel our summer internship program provides students with a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience at the bench, learn technical skills from our scientists and staff, and engage with other students that share their same passion for science. Many of our students have gone on to graduate schools or pursued careers in biotech. We have even had several summer interns become full-time NEB employees!
