Deep VentR™ (exo-) DNA Polymerase
Deep VentR (exo-) DNA Polymerase has been genetically engineered to eliminate the 3´→ 5´ proofreading exonuclease activity associated with Deep Vent DNA Polymerase. Deep Vent (exo-) DNA Polymerase is even more stable than VentR® (exo-) DNA Polymerase with a half-life of 23 hours at 95°C and 8 hours at 100°C. Both Deep Vent (exo-) and Vent (exo-) DNA Polymerase are suitable for primer extensions and high temperature (72°C) DNA sequencing.
Deep VentR™ DNA Polymerase
Deep VentR DNA Polymerase is the second high-fidelity thermophilic DNA polymerase available from New England Biolabs. The fidelity of Deep VentR DNA Polymerase is derived in part from an integral 3´→ 5´ proofreading exonuclease activity. Deep VentR is even more stable than VentR at temperatures of 95 to 100°C.
VentR® (exo-) DNA Polymerase
VentR (exo-) DNA Polymerase has been genetically engineered to eliminate the 3´→ 5´ proofreading exonuclease activity associated with VentR DNA Polymerase (1). This is the preferred form for high-temperature dideoxy sequencing reactions and for high yield primer extension reactions. The fidelity of polymerization by this form is reduced to a level about 2-fold higher than that of Taq DNA Polymerase (2,3).
VentR® DNA Polymerase
VentR DNA Polymerase is a high-fidelity thermophilic DNA polymerase. The fidelity of VentR DNA Polymerase is 5-15-fold higher than that observed for Taq DNA Polymerase (1,2). This high fidelity derives in part from an integral 3'→5' proofreading exonuclease activity in VentR DNA Polymerase (1,3). Greater than 90% of the polymerase activity remains following a 1 hour incubation at 95°C.
Therminator™ DNA Polymerase
Therminator DNA Polymerase is a 9°N™ DNA Polymerase variant with an enhanced ability to incorporate modified substrates such as dideoxynucleotides, ribonucleotides and acyclonucleotides (1,2).
