Human PRMT1 Methyltransferase

  • Catalog # M0221 was discontinued on January 02, 2018

PRMT1 is a major protein arginine methyltransferase (1). It specifically methylates arginine 3 (Arg 3) of H4 in vitro and in vivo. Methylation of histone H4 at Arg 3 facilitates transcriptional activation by nuclear hormone receptor (2).

  • Product Information
Ordered cooperative functions of PRMT1, p300 and CARM1 in transcriptional activation by p53 is observed on the GADD45 gene following ectopic p53 expression and/or UV irradiation (3).

    Product Source

PRMT1 enzyme is expressed from human PRMT1 cDNA using an MBP fusion tag expressed in E. coli.
