Although both master mixes contain Q5 Hot Start High-Fidelity DNA Polymerase, the master mix composition is different. Q5 Blood Direct 2X Master Mix is formulated for resistance to inhibition by blood products, while Q5 Hot Start High-Fidelity 2X Master Mix is formulated for general PCR.
