FAQ: Can I use the NEBNext FFPE DNA Repair Mix and the PreCR® Repair Mix interchangeably?
No. Although both are mixes of DNA repair enzymes, the NEBNext FFPE DNA Repair Mix (NEB #M6630 ) has been formulated specifically to repair FFPE DNA, with a protocol optimized for next generation sequencing (NGS) workflows. The mix is also validated on FFPE DNA. The PreCR Repair Mix (NEB #M0309) formulation and protocol are different from the FFPE DNA Repair Mix and are not validated with FFPE DNA or in NGS workflows.
