FAQ: Has NEB used any enzymes in Chromatin Conformation Capture techniques, such as 3C or HiC?

NEBTV Episode 15: Restriction Enzymes in Chromatin Conformation Capture

Chromatin conformation capture (3C) techniques allow study of the spatial organization of eukaryotic chromosomes in a 3D context. Restriction enzymes are used to digest the DNA-protein complex from chromatin. Learn more at http://nebiolabs.com/2qXR7JU.

NEB has successfully used AluI, MseI, and HaeIII in formaldehyde fixed chromatin digestion, which can then be used in ChIP (Chromatin Immunoprecipitation) experiments. These enzymes have not been verified with 3C or HiC at this time.
