FAQ: Does EpiMark® Hot Start Taq DNA Polymerase require an extended initial incubation to activate the polymerase?
No, the aptamer-based hot start mechanism does not require an extended initial incubation. Standard Taq thermocycling protocols can be used. We recommend incubating at 95°C for 30 seconds for the initial denaturation step.
