FAQ: Why has the optimal temperature for this enzyme changed from 55°C to 37°C?
We have recently switched over to a recombinant form of BstXI. Starting with Lot 15, the optimal temperature for the recombinant enzyme is 37°C. If you have an earlier lot, that is the wild-type, which has an optimal temperature of 55°C.
