FAQ: Why has the unit concentration of T4 RNA Ligase 1 changed from 20,000 Units/ml to 10,000 Units/ml?

In an effort to maintain consistency with industry standards, New England Biolabs has changed the unit definition for this product. Based on the new unit definition, 1 new unit is equivalent to approximately 3.3 old units. This results in a 1.67-fold increase in enzyme concentration over the current formulation. The volume of enzyme per vial has also increased 2 fold in order to maintain the same nominal number of units and cost per vial, which results in a 3.3-fold increase in the amount of enzyme provided.
