FAQ: When using the Monarch Spin RNA Isolation Kit (Mini) (NEB #T2110), how can I preserve my sample if I am not ready to extract RNA right after harvest?
Samples to be stored should be flash frozen and stored at -80°C. Storage at -20°C can be used for short periods (1 week), but RNA integrity will be better maintained at lower temperatures. Additionally, we recommend storage in an RNA preservation reagent such as Monarch StabiLyse DNA/RNA Buffer, or other similar reagents.
