FAQ: I see genomic DNA in my preps when using the Monarch Spin RNA Isolation Kit (Mini) (NEB #T2110). What could be the problem?
Some biological samples contain high amounts of DNA. Using Monarch Spin Column S2C to remove genomic DNA and on-column DNase I step to further remove residual DNA helps minimize DNA in the final eluates. If further DNase treatment is necessary, please follow the Protocol for in-tube DNase in the Appendix section of the Product Manual.
