FAQ: Can other buffers be used in place of the supplied EM-seq™ Elution Buffer?
The use of EM-seq Elution Buffer is highly recommended across all the steps in the protocol. You can substitute this buffer with 10 mM Tris pH 7.5. Trace amounts of EDTA can significantly affect the efficiency of the Oxidation/Protection step. For long-term storage of PCR products, we recommend using 1X TE.
