Description: This synthetic peptide is derived from the predicted optimal substrate for c-Abl Protein Tyrosine Kinase (c-Abl) determined by Songyang, et al. (1). The presence of basic lysine residues makes it suitable for enzyme assays using the phosphocellulose-paper binding method (2,3). c-Abl phosphorylates this peptide with a Km of 4 µM(1). Abl Peptide Substrate is suitable for the assay of Abl Protein Kinase (NEB#P6050), which is identical to c-Abl.
Amino Acid Sequence: EAIYAAPFAKKK (Glu-Ala-Ile-Tyr-Ala-Ala-Pro-Phe-Ala-Lys-Lys-Lys).
Supplied in: Milli-Q™ water.
