Description: This synthetic peptide is designed based on the preference of Casein Kinase II (CK2) for serine as the phosphoacceptor residue surrounded by acidic residues. It displays a high selectivity for CK2, being totally unaffected by CK1. The basic arginine residues required for the phosphocellulose assay are located on the N-terminal side at positions where they are not detrimental for the specificity. CK2 phosphorylates this peptide with Km of 15 µM (1-3).
Amino Acid Sequence: RRRADDSDDDDD (Arg-Arg-Arg-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ser-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp)
Purity: CK2 Peptide Substrate is > 95% pure as determined by HPLC and mass spectrometry.
Suggested Working Concentration: Dilution of the supplied solution (10 mg/ml = 6.9 mM) to a final concentration of 100 µM is recommended.
