Description: Kemptide (PKA Peptide Substrate) is a synthetic peptide substrate for cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) derived from the PKA phosphorylation site in liver pyruvate kinase. The presence of basic arginine residues makes Kemptide suitable for enzyme assays using the phosphocellulose-paper binding method. PKA phosphorylates Kemptide with a Km of 33 µM (1,2).
Amino Acid Sequence: LRRASLG(Leu-Arg-Arg-Ala-Ser-Leu-Gly)
Purity: Kemptide is > 95% pure as determined by HPLC and mass spectrometry.
Suggested Working Concentration: Dilution of the supplied solution (10 mg/ml = 12.95 mM) to a final concentration of 100-200 µM is recommended.
