Specificity/Cross-reactivity: Tested by Western blot and ELISA assay. Reacts specifically with chitin-binding protein domain from Bacillus circulans (1,2).

General notes:- Store at -20°C undiluted. May be stored at 4°C diluted in buffer containing 1 mM NaN3 or an equivalent antimicrobial agent.

Quality Assurance Statement:
In an ELISA assay, a dilution of 1/1,000 gives a signal of at least 20% of the maximum signal using high concentrations of antibody. The same dilution gives a strong signal when used to detect chitin-binding domain fusion protein in Western blots developed with the Phototope-HRP Western Blot Detection System (Cell Signaling Technology). This antibody does not cross-react with other E. coli proteins.
