Description:
Red Loading Buffer Reagents for SDS-PAGE:

3X Red Loading Buffer (8 ml): 
187.5 mM Tris-HCl (pH 6.8 @ 25°C), 6% (w/v) SDS, 30% glycerol and 0.03% (w/v) phenol red. (Store at room temperature)

30X Reducing Agent (1 ml): 1.25 M DTT (Store at -20°C)

General notes:
  1. Reagents stored at different temperatures.
Usage notes:
  1. Prepare fresh 3X Reducing Red Loading Buffer by adding 1/10 volume 30X Reducing Agent to 1 volume of 3X Red Loading Buffer.
  2. Prepare samples by adding 2 volumes of Sample to 1 volume 3X Reducing Red Loading Buffer (from step 1).
  3. Heat samples to 95-100°C for 3-5 minutes.
  4. After a quick microcentrifuge spin, load directly on to a gel. To ensure uniform mobiity, load an equal volume of 1X Reducing Blue Loading Buffer into any unused wells.
