Q1: What applications are the DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green 2-Step qRT-PCR kits recommended for?
A1: They are recommended for the detection and quantification of RNA with great sensitivity and specificity.
Q2: What are the advantages to using the DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green 2-Step qRT-PCR kits?
A2: Broad dynamic range - up to 1 ug of RNA
Versatility - reliable results with mRNA, total RNA, viral RNA and in vitro transcribed RNA
Flexibility - two-step system, all priming options
Ease of use - optimized reaction mixes and short protocols
Specific and Sensitive
Q3: What reverse transcriptase is used in the DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green 2-Step qRT-PCR kits?
A3: M-MuLV RNase H+, which provides higher sensitivity to qPCR than RNase H- reverse transcriptases. The RNase H activity in the RT enzyme facilitates annealing of PCR primers to the cDNA by degrading the RNA template from the RNA-cDNA hybrid before the PCR step.
Q4: What instruments can the DyNAmo™ SYBR® Green 2-Step qRT-PCR kits be used with?
A4: DyNAmo SYBR Green 2-Step qRT-PCR Kit (F-430) is compatible with all block-based real-time qPCR instruments and DyNAmo Capillary SYBR Green 2-Step qRT-PCR Kit (F-440) is engineered for capillary based instruments.
Q5: Are Finnzymes' DNA Polymerases licensed for PCR?
A5: Yes.
