See the Buffers FAQ also.

Q1: What is supplied with the Diluent Buffer B?
Q2: What is the composition of Diluent Buffer B?
Q3: How should the Diluent Buffer be used?
Q4: How long can the diluted enzyme be stored?

Q1: What is supplied with the Diluent Buffer B?

A1: The pack contains 10 ml diluent buffer B.

Q2: What is the composition of Diluent Buffer B?

A2: Diluent Buffer B: 300 mM NaCl, 10 mM Tris-HCl, 0.1 mM EDTA, 1 mM DTT, 500 µg/ml BSA, 50 % glycerol, pH 7.4 at 25 °C.

Q3: How should the Diluent Buffer be used?

A3: Dilute enzymes just prior to use keeping the final concentration of diluted enzymes at least 1,000 units/ml. Diluent preference for each restriction endonuclease is listed with its catalog entry and on its data card.

Q4: How long can the diluted enzyme be stored?

A4: The stability of each enzyme diluted below selling concentration has not been tested. Many enzymes will remain active for long periods of time when stored diluted at -20°C. Use a control substrate to test dilutions that have been stored.
