See the Buffers FAQ also.

Q1: What is supplied with the GPS™ Reaction Buffer pack?
Q2: What is the composition of the GPS™ Reaction Buffer?
Q3: How should the GPS™ Reaction Buffer be used?
Q4: The GPS™ Reaction Buffer arrived thawed; is it still active?

Q1: What is supplied with the GPS™ Reaction Buffer pack?

A1: The pack contains 2 vials containing a total of 1 ml of 10X GPS Reaction Buffer and 0.4 ml 20X Start Solution.

Q2: What is the composition of the GPS™ Reaction Buffer?

A2: 1X GPS Reaction Buffer: 25 mM Tris-HCl, 2 mM dithiothreitol, 2mM ATP, 50 µg/ml BSA, pH 8.0 @ 25 °C. Supplied as a 10X concentrated stock.
20X Start Solution: 300 mM MgAc

Q3: How should the GPS™ Reaction Buffer be used?

A3: The GPS™ Buffer Pack is for use with TnsABC* Transposase and pGPS plasmids in the GPS™ series of systems (NEB #E7100S, #E7101S, #E7102S).

Q4: The GPS™ Reaction Buffer arrived thawed; is it still active?

A4: The buffers will often thaw when shipped on wet ice. This is often due to the high salt concentration of the 10X buffer. If the ice pack is still solid and the contents are cold to the touch the buffer and enzyme are fine.
